New profile grinding machine boosts grinding capacity

Our gear cutting department is recently enlarged with a high performance profile grinding machine for increasing accuracy and quality control: the Gleason Pfauter P600/800 G. This machine is one of the most advanced gear grinding machines available today and meets the growing need for faster production of the highest quality gears. This gear grinding machine has been designed to grind straight and helical external and internal gearings on cylindrical workpieces with a diameter of up to 800mm. Siemens CNC software is used to satisfy the most exacting demands and provides any gear tooth modifications. One of the great advantages of this new profile grinding machine is that the machine is able to grind without the necessity of pre-hobbing (till Modulus 10). This results in a significant time saving, so we can serve our customers even faster. Wind energy The Gleason Pfauter P 600/800 G is particularly suitable for our wind industry customers as it conforms to their standards and quality requirements. These gearbox applications are subjected to high loads and suffer from high rates of wear under such demanding usage. High performance and reliabilty of the gear units are of great importance for our wind customers. With the newest Gleason technology we are able to manufacture high quality gears within the fastest possible time, which planetary gearboxes in wind turbines will strongly benefit from.
