Week 3 - Transport and assembly of the gearbox and parts & dry-alignment This week started with the transport of the jet pump gearbox to the base plate in the engine room and the assembly of the turning gear and lub. oil pump onto the jet pump gearbox. We assembled all parts of LT pump to its base plate and connected all pipe work to the pumps. We also transported  the dredge pump gearbox into the pump room and we removed the welded hoisting frame out of the pump room. All loose piping, lub. oil pumps and filters were also transported into the pump room. We placed the dredge pump gearbox on the base plate to check the mounting holes. We placed the vibracon between the bolts. Dry alignment of the jet pump gearbox between port side and jet pump. Also dry alignment of the dredge pump gearbox between centre/starboard side engine's.
