| Gearbox inspection and test run for Kuwait oil company Stork Optimization Services was invited by a Kuwaiti oil company for the complete inspection of a damaged vertical offset speed-increasing gearbox, type Rademakers. The aluminium gearbox frame had one bearing pocket that was badly worn out. The worst damage was caused by the output shaft coupling end bearing failure, which was completely destroyed.  Read more |

| From gearbox inspection to sea-trails in Shanghai Container vessel "MV Sinotrans Tokyo" was anchored at the port of Shanghai. It suffered from a major failure of the propulsion gearbox. InterOrient invited Stork Gears & Services to carry out visual inspections on board of the vessel. Inspections revealed that two teeth of the pinion had been broken out and the active flanks showed a repeated damage pattern. Read more |

Overhaul of Husky tugboatThe DCV Balder is a Deepwater Construction Vessel operated by Heerema for deepwater field development up to 3,000 m waterdepth. Heerema Shipping contacted Stork Gears & Services for preventive maintenance of the Balders' tugbouat, called "Husky MV". Low oil pressure switched off the gasturbine of the power plant.
