Work in progress
| Stork Gears & Services recently invested in a new CNC boring and milling machine of Tos Varnsdorf. This new machine - the WHN 13 CNC- is designed for precise milling, coordinate boring and complicated workpieces with a weight of up to 12,000 kg. With this new machine our boring capacity will significantly increase and maximize our productivity in many different applications in the most demanding markets. At this moment we are laying the foundations for this impressive machine. In the second half of December we will start to install the machine, in January 2008 the WHN 13 CNC is ready for production! The excavated floor is 45 square meters and 1,80 metres deep. As soon as the foundation is ready, at least 80m3 of concrete will be poured. The concrete weighs about 200 pounds! This massive and stable foundation is of vital importance for precise milling and coordinate boring. The machine is controlled continuously in four linear coordinates X, Y, Z, W by a powerful HeidenHain Contouring Control system - iTNC 530. This innovative system mills your workpieces faster then ever with the highest contour accuracy and reliability. Technical dataBelow the technical data of this table type, CNC controlled horizontal borer with live spindle, transversely traveling table and longitudinallytraveling column.
