Stork halves production time with Höfler machines
| "More precision and higher production speeds."
According to marketing manager Henk-Jan Dekker from Stork Gears &
Services these were the decisive factors for the purchase of the Mega
1600 CNC gear grinding machine and HF 1600 gear cutting machine, both
manufactured by Höfler. With these machines the gearwheel production
time has been halved, subsequently this leads to a significantly
shorter delivery time for both servicing and repairing gearboxes. Both
machines are new on the Dutch market. The Mega 1600 gear-grinding machine was chosen by Stork Gears & Services especially due to the hobbing-principle of this machine. "Gear hobbing offers more flexibility than contour grinding for one-off products and small series. Furthermore Höfler is the sole supplier of these machines in Europe ", thus Dekker. When the product table rotates, the grinding-stone is manoeuvred by the control system to all necessary positions needed to carry out the correct profile corrections. With the Mega 1600 Stork Gears & Services can guarantee a grinding quality up to class 4 and, depending on the gear, sometimes-even class 3 (according to DIN 3962), whereas formerly only class 6 was obtainable. The machine is suitable for product diameters up to 1600 mm (mass 6000 kgs) and a maximum width of 800 mm. Download QuickTime Player als u het filmpje niet kunt zien.
