Lohmann & Stolterfoht GPV 395, 3 stage planetary gearbox weighing approx. 18 tonne

Customer is a local Cement Mill. The gearbox (a L+S GPV 395, 3 stage planetary gearbox weighing approx. 18 tonne) is used to drive the roll in the cement mill. We were contracted to overhaul one of the two gearboxes and to change a complete set of seals and bearings. The customer need to keep down time to a minimum and has no more than 7 days to complete the whole job. The job went on smoothly (although some machining to the dowel pins were needed to press the gears out) and was completed within the schedule given by the customer.
